About M&C Insurance Agency

In 1984, cousins Duane D. Myers and Larry Cartwright founded the M&C Insurance Agency, Inc. as a small two-person agency serving the personal and commercial lines insurance needs of Camden, NJ and its surrounding Camden County communities. It was housed in a small unassuming little building at the corner of Mt. Ephraim Avenue & Chestnut Sts. in Camden. Later, Myers' mother, Jacqueline joined the duo and served for many years as his receptionist, then customer service manager, and all-around right-hand woman.

In 1991, Cartwright left the agency to focus on his other business ventures. He felt that he was leaving the business in the capable hands of his cousin, whom he trusted to grab the reigns and take the family business that they had co-founded, to the next level.

By 1995 the company had experienced enough growth to warrant a second office. They chose Westfield Avenue in Pennsauken, NJ (serving the insurance needs of clients in Pennsauken, Merchantville, Cherry Hill, Palmyra, Maple Shade, Cinnaminson, Delran and other surrounding areas.)

In 2006, the insurance agency's directors decided to add a lower-Camden County office conveniently located on Sicklerville Road in Sicklerville, NJ. This office serves the insurance needs of the residents of Sicklerville, Gloucester Township, Winslow Township, Williamstown, Monroe Township, Berlin and West Berlin communities, in Camden County as well as supporting the insurance needs of Gloucester county, NJ residents in Turnersville, Sewell, Cross Keys and Hurffville clients in Washington Township, NJ as well as residents of Glassboro, NJ. The company continues to thrive and grow and will announce additional office locations in the near future.

About Duane D. Myers

Duane D. Myers, President, CEO, and licensed Broker is the founder and driving force behind M&C Insurance Agency, Inc. He founded the company within a year of his college graduation from Rutgers University.

Mr. Myers earned a BA in accounting from Rutgers University, CCAS. He currently holds licenses in Property, Casualty, Life, and he also earned a certificate for Insurance Practice and Principles.

Mr. Myers serves on the Board of Trustees for CamCare Health Corporation, The Boys and Girls Club of Camden County and Travelers Agent Advisory Board. In 2005, he was the recipient of the Camden County Freedom Medal, offered by the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders. In addition, Mr. Myers also supports many youth and civic organizations including “Toys for Tots” and the Track Teams for Camden High and Woodrow Wilson High School, to name a few.
